The IGEM was originally a campus-wide academic competition first held by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). While focusing on synthetic biology, IGEM also integrates principles of engineering and theories of arts. The ISA International Academy will form an IGEM team to prepare for this international competition.
